BTW, you mention you have a 2.2 device. Have you updated it to the 2.2.1 version of the OS? The product's listing on the app store clearly states that it requires 2.2.1

i do have firmware version 2.2 on my ipod touch an do need to update to 2.2.1, however i find it very very strange that when i bought the application it said it only required version 2.2 not 2.2.1 or i would never off bought it, i am almost 99.5 percent sure someone changed it, as i double checked it when it did not work to make sure it was not my mistake, an am sure of it, in any case ive wasted 59p because someone made a mistake, not me! an now they changed it after i pointed it out, thats not fair dude, am so sure dave as i was so pis--ed i checked the app out an it did say 2.2 not the new 2.2.1, i dont drink or take drugs so only you know the score mate however you want to portrait it.
