Dave-
I favorably reviewed the BrainFreqz Relaxation App for the iPhone. My comments included my satisfaction with your ingenuity and vision in developing these products. Additionally, I would prefer having more than one module on an app. Better still, it would be more user-focused if the customer could program the order and duration of several modules. For example, I could program the Relaxation module for twenty minutes, then immediately transition to the Creative Focus module without having to interrupt my entrained state because of having to make manual adjustments.
I also asked if you were planning to deveop a module around the theta wave entrainment. If you are, or if you have already, I would like to get the name of the app, and maybe a suggestion as to how it is best applied.
Thanks again for a wonderful, overdue, twenty-first century innovation that many will come to know as essential.

Dear Dave,

I was surprised and very excited to see your software developed for the iPhone. I purchased both the BrainFreqz meditation and relaxation applications. I hope you will continue distributing more of these and I will certainly contribute in reviewing the applications and encouraging others to get the software. As an aside, I own the Relaxmate II light machine and am planning to use this in conjunction with your applications.

Again, thanks for the great work! Look forward to more!

Regards,

Paul

In response to some of the comments we've been receiving here on the web as well as in the iTunes App Store...

Our philosophy in developing these programs as individual applications is to allow the person who is inexperienced in brainwave entrainment programs to get a quality, but very inexpensive, introduction. Many of the other audio programs available in this genre cost in the range of $15, and of course the software for generating your own BE programs can cost significantly more.

We are developing software for the iPhone that will allow the user to create their own BE programs, selecting the program length, the type of stimulus (binaural beats, isochronic tones, etc...), frequencies, background sounds, etc... however, this application is not yet ready for release, and when it is, will cost more than $1.99 although I'm sure that it will not be priced out of range for anyone interested in this type of application for an iPhone.

Some people want this type of flexibility, some people don't. For those who want it, it's coming. For those who prefer to just launch a pre-made program, we've introduced that ability now with our BrainFreqz applications.

We currently have 8 BrainFreqz applications, however at this time (Oct 8, 2008) only 5 of them have been approved by Apple to appear on the App Store. Hopefully within the next few days the 3 remaining programs will become available as well. Within the next few days we will be updating the App Store descriptions of these programs to provide greater detail about the frequencies being used and what purpose these frequencies can be helpful for. If you've got a request for a program that we're not yet providing please let us know and we'll do anything we can to meet your needs.

Additionally, within the next few weeks we'll also be releasing a series of programs containing affirmations for various purposes. These applications will utilize the BrainFreqz technologies to entrain brain wave frequencies into the Theta range and then introduce spoken affirmations to the sub-conscious mind. We'll be expanding this line over time and the initial offerings will include programs for self esteem, self confidence, universal connection, abundance, health and sobriety, and the "millionaire mindset". Again, this type of audio program typically sells for $15 or more, but we'll be making them available on the iPhone/iPod Touch for $1.99.

I've tried out the "Meditation" iPhone app, and I like it. It's effective at helping me meditate and it's a lot easier to listen to than most binaural beat software. It's got a lot of harmonies built in, whereas most apps just try to cut the edge off with some pink noise.

The output doesn't include binaural beats though. The left and right channels are identical. Is that a bug? I have an iPhone 3G with firmware 2.1. I verified the output by taking samples with Audacity, inverting the left channel and then mixing the left and right channels together.

Even if it doesn't contain binaural beats (and merely isochronic tones), it's still quite effective.

Thank you for bringing this technology to the iPhone! I've been searching every month or so since I bought my iPhone until I found your software!

Ignore my post above regarding no differences between the left and right channel. The differences were too small for me to see in the Audacity window, but they are definitely present. I was able to normalize the difference of the two channels and I can see the beats in an FFT quite easily now.

Hi. I've downloaded the sleep program and installed it twice, but both times it has had clicks and "skips." I've rebooted my iPod Touch to see if it's a memory issue, to no avail. Any thoughts?

I downloaded the sleep program and I have a question. About 10 minutes into the program just as I am starting to drift off a noise pops up in a very random pattern that sounds like a record skipping. Is this suppost to be there? I tried removing the program from my touch and then installing it again and the noise is still there. Any suggestions?

Thank you

Hi,

For those experiencing problems with audio in the BrainFreqz applications, please send me a direct email to dave@dsrtech.net with the name of the application in question and I'll provide you with links to the audio files.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi, having simialr problems with audio myself with two of the apps, but the other one seems fine oddly.
Agree that combining modules into one app would be great idea.

Also could light effects be added too? If full power flashing screen was placed near face with eyes closed i am sure it would still have an effect. As a previous owner of a mindlab light/ sound machine i have vivid memories of the power of flashing lights tuned to frequencies.

I have purchased a couple of your BrainFreqz programs and am impressed. The only thing that I would strongly suggest is a different image on the main screen. It just doesn't seem to reflect the strength of your programs. I almost didn't purchase it because of the screenshot (it seemed to lack a professional presence).
Just a suggestion - Thanks!

Hi. I purchased Affirmations - Self Esteem. However, there seems to be a problem. There is a constant reverberation sound in the background - doesn't sound like it should be part of the music at all. Can you help? Thanks.

I have BrainFreqz Headache and the audio skips/pops when the screen blanks (manually or automatically).
I also think that a combo package of the BrainFreqz programs be available because currently the iPhone/iPodTouch can only display 148 apps and I'm already maxed out.

Hi all, if you need a temporary .mp3 file because of popping/crackling when your device goes into power save mode, please email me directly at dave@dsrtech.net and I'll send you the link to the appropriate file. Sorry, but I can't post links here in the forum for obvious reasons.

Thanks!

I have three of your apps. I'm very happy with two of them. Im struggling with the Sleep app though. The soundtrack which is of lots if chirping insects and frogs contains a creature making a loud chirp every five or six scconds. Each time it happens it interupts my concentration and I find myself bracing for it each time. Hence it's become unuseable. I know it's just me! It would be nice to have the choice of turning off the soundtrack and just having the beats.
